In the first two minutes of season one of American Horror Story, a set of twin boys invade an abandoned home that is considered to be cursed. The scene starts with a black screen that then establishes the time of the scene and fades into a view of the trees from an upward view with the use of a crane. The scene then cuts to a view of a little girl view a house from the lawn. It then cuts to an insert shot of bones hanging off a tree. It then cuts to a wide shot of the house, still in use of a crane. These cuts establishing the location of the home and allows the audience to think about what could possibly be wrong with it. The scene then cuts to a view of a set of twins walking towards the house, planning to vandalize it. The little girl sees this and tells them that it isn't a good idea to go into the house. After warning them and realizing their carelessness, she says, " you're gonna regret it" and continues to repeat as the boys walk into the home. The next scene shows that boys walking into the home with the sound of wood creaking as they walk into the doorway. After a long shot of a point of view shot of the twin boys, clown music bridges into the scene which ignites a fire within the boys and causes them to cause destruction in the home. No main characters were shown in the beginning of the show. The budget for this film came out to a whopping 45 million. The highest-paid actor on set is Sara Paulson with a net worth of eight million. With her great acting and the help of her great cast members, they have been nominated for many awards such as the Golden Globe Award for Best TV Series is 2014 & 2015 and the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Limited Series.
