The Zodiac ( 2007 ) Mystery/Crime

Today in class, we analyzed some title sequences from ArtoftheTitle.com. I considered the film "The Zodiac" to be the best film directed that was shown in class. The mystery thriller illustrated the hustle and bustle of the city of San Francisco and the life of a struggling father/cartoonist at the San Francisco Chronicle. The summary that the website gives illuminates the killings that have come about in a busy city. The idea of showing the the everyday struggles of a man working at the chronicle emulates the strenuous tasks he goes through and will encounter throughout the film. In comparison to my film, the idea of adding different cuts of the city of Sarasota would be nice to show how busy that day is and the quiet and peacefulness of the night; to show that as the day dies, the night brings out the felonious behavior entrapped in the lives of many, many like Giovanni in our film, " The Rise. "

The target audience is similar to those of our film The Rise because the suspense conveyed throughout the film and the sense of fear the viewers obtain as the film cuts from different scenes. Methods of digital distribution used for this film are DVD, Amazon Prime, and Blu-Ray.    The use of DVD would be the best method of distribution to use because of the ease and simplicity that comes with it. The movie was produced and directed between US and Hungarian territory. In many countries, digital distribution hasn't modernized and the use of DVD players is prevalent. To allow for easy-access movie viewing, providing out audience with a DVD copy would benefit them the most.

The films action packed plot is similar to that of our film because its get the adrenaline rushing through veins and excitement at each cutting edge scene. Different methods of digital distribution used consist of Amazon Prime, DVD, and On Demand. On Demand would be a great method of distribution for this film. On Demand is a easy and family-friendly distribution system that allows access to video entertainment without the restraints of television scheduling and commercials. The movie preceding the film could also found on On Demand and can allow for families to watch from the beginning and understand the true meaning behind each and every character.  Glass is a film that can be enjoyed with family and friends and On Demands allows for simple film viewing.

The Drug King How and why the target audience is similar to this film The Drug King is a film about a young Chinese novice who rose to the top of the Japanese  Drug Cartel.  Our film is similar to this because it about the upbringing of a novice drug dealer in the city of Sarasota trying make it in the drug world. The target audience is similar to this film because the viewers are looking for a thriller/action movie that’ll get blood pumping and adrenaline rushing. How did they market their product? The film " The Drug King " use of marketing was through trailers on YouTube and other video streaming sites.
