The Zodiac ( 2007 ) Mystery/Crime
Today in class, we analyzed some title sequences from ArtoftheTitle.com. I considered the film "The Zodiac" to be the best film directed that was shown in class. The mystery thriller illustrated the hustle and bustle of the city of San Francisco and the life of a struggling father/cartoonist at the San Francisco Chronicle. The summary that the website gives illuminates the killings that have come about in a busy city. The idea of showing the the everyday struggles of a man working at the chronicle emulates the strenuous tasks he goes through and will encounter throughout the film. In comparison to my film, the idea of adding different cuts of the city of Sarasota would be nice to show how busy that day is and the quiet and peacefulness of the night; to show that as the day dies, the night brings out the felonious behavior entrapped in the lives of many, many like Giovanni in our film, "
The Rise. "
